Lesson 1 / 3
Self-host, all the way to air-gap
Some teams cannot send citizen or agency data to a managed SaaS portal, and a sovereignty review will not accept "trust us, it's isolated." IntegraCI runs on your own stack so the answer to "where does it live?" is "here, on infrastructure you control." Air-gapped installs go one step further: the platform runs with no path out to the public internet at all. Key points:
- Self-hosted means you deploy and operate the platform on your own infrastructure instead of a vendor's.
- Air-gapped is the same platform run inside a sealed boundary, for environments where outbound connectivity is not allowed.
- The framing is "self-host up to air-gapped": most teams self-host, and the ones who need a sealed environment can have one. Sovereignty and data residency are met by where it runs, not by a vendor promise.
